Laying Foundations for Transformation in the City

The ministries of Berean Missional Church (BMC) and the Harvest Movement Youth Center are the fruit of grass-roots, pioneer missions work with the ‘At-Risk’ and ‘High-Risk’ youth and families who live in the inner city of St. Paul, MN.

The level of devastation that BMC encounters daily has reached epic proportions and can be defined by a term none other than CRISIS!

We’ve witnessed first-hand the futility, self-destruction, and apathy commonly seen in urban communities, yet we’ve painfully come face-to-face with the reality that the men, women, and children who reside there are also victims caught in a powerful web of forces beyond their control (Ephesians 2:1-3; 6:12).

The resulting manifestations of poverty, when passed from one generation to the next, create a vicious, self-perpetuating cycle that does untold damage to the vision and hope of people without a ‘witness.’ At BMC we believe that these realities must be responded to with truth, urgency, and moral courage.
